So I decided to start this blog as a way to put down events as I remember them (which may or may not be how it happened) and just whatever enters my head. So let’s get started.
The best place to start is at the beginning. It was Fall, 1972. He was wearing a very attractive mustard brown Burger Chef tunic. As he leaned nonchalantly against a wall, I couldn’t help but notice him. I was captivated by him so I did what any girl who wants a guy’s attention does. I kicked his feet out from under him. I swept him of his feet…literally.
Even after that beginning, Danny wanted to see me again. Our first date was to a donkey basketball game. While I don’t really remember the game, I do remember that he had the most piercing blue eyes I had ever seen. I was hooked.
There were obstacles to overcome. He was left brain, I was right brain. He was a Republican, I was a true Southern Democrat. He enjoyed math, I was a unicorn chaser. The differences were great, almost insurmountable. We broke up, got back together, broke up, got back together. But eventually we decided that we were right together and so, three years later we were married. And, as they say, the rest is history.
A right brain joins a left brain to form a COMPLETE brain.
